"A brilliant well thought out and researched book. Found in small bookshop in Corfu while on holiday last year. Rekindled my love for Herbert, now buying 2-3 per week to get full range. Read 48... it will blow your mind as well as making you think that is this the past we are reading or is he fortelling the future????"

"I have read every single one of James Herbert's novels, some more than once, but was blown away by "'48". It was one of those novels you just had to keep reading until the fantastic finale, then wanted more."

"All through the pages I kept thinking this would make a great postapocalyptic action movie."

"I also really enjoyed "Others", great imagery. I am now eagerly awaiting his next triumph."
