What a Book! It is very hard to find Herbert novels here in Canada and I am glad I stumbled upon this one. I love the 1st person narrative. You could almost feel yourself in Nick Dismas shoes. The desription of the "others" were so vivid. I actually got shivers reading that part of the novel. An absolutley great book, I recommend this book to anyone. After all he is the Stephan King of England. Much better in my humble opinion.

hi there james herbert fans i have just started reading this book others i thought it was about the others the film when i lifted it at fist until i read the back cover.i have got 7 others the best so far has been selpuhre i think thats how it is spelt very good i also liked the lair
