I placed an order with Forbidden Planet for a signed copy of "Crickley Hall". I still haven't received my copy so i emailed them asking where it was. This is what i got back.
Let me know your views please

Dear Customer,

You currently have an outstanding order with us for a signed, hard back copy
of James Herbert's "Secret of Crickley Hall".

As you are aware, James Herbert's recent illness has resulted in the
cancellation of the intended signing session. At present there are still
plans for the books to be signed, but no definite date can be given due to
the author's continued illness.

We will keep your order on file, to be despatched as soon as possible.
However, should you prefer to receive an unsigned copy of the book or simply
cancel your order then please contact us (quoting your transaction code or
sales number) and we will be more than happy to make the necessary changes
for you.

We will keep you informed of any further changes to your order status and
would like to wish Mr Herbert a speedy recovery.

Kind Regards,

Doug Taylor

Not sure if it's any consolation, but there are a few signed copies for sale on eBay.

If you get to MK quick, they are selling copies he signed before the actual book signing!

Kessler ordered a signed copy from Forbidden Planet for me, but was informed it wasnt gonna be signed in the foreseeable future, so he got it from Play.com and I have got it now.

He has definitely been ill. I find it hard to believe that he cancelled both London signings but made it to MK. Apparently, he wasn't feeling well at that signing although Matt said he seemed OK when he spoke to him. Of course, he did sign in London - Kelly went.

I guess Macmillan (Jeremy or Kate) would let us know if there are to be any other signings but as time goes on the impetus of a book launch becomes less and the likelihood of a signing also becomes less.

Might be worth trying to buy a copy from the MK shop. It seems that signed copies of Crickley Hall will be in pretty short supply!
